Jensen Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District

Nevada Softball junior pitcher Julia Jensen has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District as announced by CoSIDA on Thursday. This marks her second time being named to the all-district team.

CoSIDA recognizes top student-athletes across the nation for their performances in the classroom and on the field. This year due to COVID-19, instead of only single season accolades being taken into consideration, CoSIDA allowed the 2020 awards to be based on career statistics and achievements.

Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District® will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-America® honorees will be announced from June 8-11.

The neuroscience major has maintained a 4.00 GPA while also being the SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Council) president and the Nevada athletic representative in the Mountain West Conference.

The Sparks, Nevada native has been vital part of the pitching staff for the Wolf Pack, pitching over 277 innings in 69 appearances while tossing 244 strikeouts in her career. Jensen also recorded three plate appearances prior to the end of the 2020 season.
