Postgame notes – Hawai'i

-As a team, Nevada recorded 208 rushing yards, its first 200-yard rushing game of the season and first since it notched 254 at Fresno State in November of 2019.

-Junior RB Toa Taua eclipsed 100 yards on the ground for the second time this season and seventh time in his career. He finished the game with a season-high 131 rushing yards on 20 attempts and one rushing touchdown.

-Toa Taua went over 2,000 rushing yards in his career during the game, needing just 14 entering the game.

-Junior RB Devonte Lee ran for a career-high 81 yards on 14 carries, with a long rush of 20 yards.

-Junior LB Daiyan Henley registered the first double digit tackle performance of his career, leading the team with 11 tackles, including 0.5 TFLs.

-Senior LB Lawson Hall finished the game with 10 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss. It marked his second double digit tackle game of the season. Hall has recorded 29 tackles in his last three games.

-Sophomore QB Carson Strong threw two touchdown passes in the game, his 11th consecutive game with TD pass.

-Senior DE Sam Hammond registered 1.5 sacks in the game, a single-game career-high and the first multi-sack game of his career.

-True freshman WR Tory Horton caught his second touchdown catch of the season, and first since the season opener, in the fourth quarter.

-Junior TE Cole Turner hauled in the first Nevada TD reception of the game, his fourth of the season. He has a touchdown catch in back-to-back games.

-Sophomore WR Will Barnard made his first Division I reception in the first quarter that went for three yards.

-Junior TE Crishaun Lappin and sophomore DB Mikael Bradford both earned their first starts of the season. For Bradford, it was his first Division I start.

-The all-time series now stands at 14-11 in favor of Nevada. Hawai'i has won the last two meetings between the two programs.

-Up next, Nevada will look for its sixth win of the season when it hosts Fresno State for the regular season home finale on Saturday, Dec. 5, time still to be announced.
