A low close to California, leads to a significant winter storm for much of the country this weekend

An area of low pressure is only giving Nevada some high level cloudiness on Thursday, but as it travels east and combines with arctic air, much of the country will be dealing with a large winter storm this weekend. Anything from extreme cold, to sleet, snow, and freezing rain is possible.Â
