Firefighters knocked down a fire at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort's Mid-Mountain Lodge on Tuesday night.
It happened after 5 p.m. at a snowbound building only accessible via chairlifts, according to a spokesperson for Truckee Fire.
Cal Fire says it broke out on the second story of the lodge.
Fire crews with multiple agencies were shuttled to the fire via snowcat.
Cal Fire, the Northstar Fire Department, and the North Tahoe Fire Protection District also responded to the fire.
It took them about four hours to get the fire under control because the cabin was made of heavy timber.
There were no injuries, and no other buildings were involved.
It is believed that a Sugar Bowl employee initially called to report the fire.
Flames and smoke were captured by a Nevada Seismological Laboratory web camera.
It is unknown what started the fire.
