Why ALS is a confounding disease

In an emotional message, released after his death, actor Eric Dane reflects on his marriage to actress Rebecca Gayheart and tells his daughter, Billie and Georgia, that they can face anything. Dane died Thursday after announcing last April that he was battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, better known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease.
