A January opening for a golf course isn't something you'd normally expect. Rosewood, along with Wolf Run, Dayton Valley and Lakeridge Golf Course have spent more time open now than in previous years. They have been open all year except for a few days when there was some snow.
Some places have also seen up to 30% more business due to the warm & dry conditions. Local car washes told Channel 2 News, they've also seen an uptick in sales since more people are out and about. "We're supposed to have a really good weekend. We're expecting it to be pretty busy. There's still a lot of that road or debris from the last time we salted, so we're happy to get it cleaned,” said Metro Carwash Manager Pat Ionno.
Very good days for car wash places mean days where more than 1,000 cars could show up for a wash. Golf courses like rosewood say they'll have plans to stay open all year as long as there's no snow on the green.
Here's an interesting fact... Every day in January had temperatures reach above average except for January, 1st, 2nd and 22nd.
