It's no secret Northern Nevada's population is booming, but the retiree community is one of the most quickly growing demographics. The Toll Brothers newest master planned community is designated for them. It's called Regency at Caramella Ranch.

The developers also say they hope the community helps ease the area's housing crunch.

Developers stress the importance of fitness and keeping older adults socially involved. Jennifer Schiffman, Sales Associate explains, "We're going to have five acres in the center, dedicated to a clubhouse, pickleball, tennis, bocce ball, a beautiful three-tiered outdoor amphitheater for summer concerts and movies under the stars."

There will be more than 900 homes total along the South Reno hillside. There are 621 designated for 55+, but also 300 for residents of any age. Schiffman says, "We also have three additional neighborhoods for first-time home-buyers, those that are looking to upgrade, as well as empty-nesters."

Schiffman says model homes for Regency should be opened by this fall. They hope to have the first residents move in by spring of 2020.

Home prices will range from the mid $400,000's up to $600,000. The community is located just behind Damonte Ranch High School.Â
