A hazmat crew was called to an abandoned warehouse in Minden and several neighboring businesses were temporarily evacuated after an apparent acid spill.
The Douglas County sheriff's office said in a statement Wednesday no one was hurt and the incident was determined to be of no "environmental concern."
The county's East Fork Fire District responded to the report of the spill about 10 a.m. on Angela Court north of the Minden Tahoe Airport.
They closed off a section of Nowlin Road south of Johnson Lane and called in the Quad County hazmat team, which determined two types of acid had leaked from containers in the building.
Sheriff's officials declared the area safe by 3:30 p.m. They said hazmat crews expected to turn the property over to its owner Wednesday night.
