Barton Health has bought the site of the former Lakeside Inn and Casino in Stateline for more than $13 million.Â
The former Lakeside Inn and Casino closed for business in 2020 and is located adjacent to Barton’s Stateline Medical Center campus, where building development opportunities are limited. Expanding the medical campus in Nevada allows Barton to offer more services including lower cost outpatient services.
Barton’s Stateline Medical Center already offers primary and urgent care, outpatient surgery, occupational health, physical therapy and an outpatient lab. Barton recently also opened an outpatient MRI service at Stateline.
Barton says the Lakeside Inn and Casino property will help the health agency expand access to health and wellness programs.
The sale will offer community and environmental benefits including the removal of an aging property and an environmental remediation of the site. Demolition and restoration of this site is slated for this year.
