Residents in Silver Springs have taken continual aftershock earthquakes in stride, but that's not to say they aren't worried about future earthquakes hitting.
All of the residents 2 New Nevada spoke with say they woke up to the 4.3 and 5.2 magnitude quakes around 1:15 a.m. on Friday.
"I popped right up out of bed, and it just kept right on rocking us. And then after that, I kind of just fell back asleep, and I felt almost, I think four of them altogether," said Robert Breen Jr.
"It woke me up. Yeah, everything started rattling around and moving around. A couple things fell," said Michael Vernacchio.
The fault that's rattling Silver Springs and the surrounding area is unnamed, but it's making a name for itself among residents.
However, one neighbor says it's not a surprise these have been happening.
"It's going to happen. We live in an area where, I mean, this is a volcanic area, which means you're going to have plate movement. No matter what you do. It's just a matter of time," said Audra Borders.
Breen says that with more than 1,000 earthquakes hitting the area, his home is seeing some damage.
"The rest of them really rattled our trailer pretty bad. And I do got a split on the side of my trailer where it just kinda split my slide out. And so I'm kinda concerned about that if we have any more, I'll probably end up losing my slide out," said Breen.
All of the residents say that while the quakes are concerning, and they're worried about larger ones in the future, they can't imagine leaving the area.
