Candidates' Teams Speak to the Media

Following Tuesday’s democratic debate, candidates and their teams made their way to the media spin room to speak with reporters.

KTVN reporter Erin Breen navigated the packed room and spoke with some of the candidates and campaign team members.

From Bernie Sanders team, Ed Shultz told us that Bernie caught the pulse of the American people on where the country wants to go. From his opening remarks to the end it wasnt about him, it was about the problems this country faces and his solutions and how he can do it.

Hillary Clintons camp was also willing to speak with the media, emphasizing that Clinton made it clear that she is a progressive.

Presidential candidate, and former Governor of Maryland, Martin OMalley told reporters that this was not the two minute warning, it was the opening bell and I think people see they have a choice this time.

This was just the first democratic debate. There are five debates for the democrats to go.

Henry Munoz, the Vice Chair of the Democratic Nominating Committee, said that overall the debate was about the issues and said that while candidates didnt necessarily agree on answers, he was proud that they did agree on the issues.
