An April sentencing date has been set for a Carson City man found guilty of murdering a man near Aces Ballpark in October 2011.
On Friday, a jury found Arturo Bolanos Jr. guilty of first degree murder with a deadly weapon, as well as three counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon.
Prosecutors say on October 2, 2011, Bolanos Jr. was in the parking garage just south of Aces Ballpark and produced an AR-15 style assault rifle with a laser sight from the trunk of his car. He then fired 12 shots at an SUV that was leaving the garage, wounding three of the men inside and killing 28-year-old Macario Ortiz of Carson City.
Prosecutors say the shooting victims had been in a gang-motivated fight with Bolanos' younger brother and cousin shortly before the shooting.
