Carson City School District Appoints Nathan Brigham as Vice Principal

The Carson City School District has announced the new vice principal for Empire Elementary School.

CCSD officials say Nathan Brigham will be the vice principal for the upcoming school year.

"Mr. Brigham is a qualified and engaging educator,” said Richard Stokes, CCSD superintendent. “With more than 18 years of experience as an educator, he will provide valuable and dynamic support to Principal Susan Squires. I look forward to working alongside him as he becomes familiar with his new assignment."

Officials say in his new position, Brigham will be a visible instructional leader throughout the district and propel student achievement in the areas of curriculum, instruction, assessment, accountability and staff supervision.

Prior to his appointment as vice principal, school officials say Brigham served as a fourth grade teacher at Empire Elementary School in 2019. They say he was the Lead Learning Strategist for the Carson City School District.

Brigham will start his new position in the 2020-2021 school year.
