Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) says R2 chains are required on Mt. Rose Highway from Fairview Boulevard to Old US395 Junction in Nevada.

Chains or 4-wheel drive with snow tires is required on CA89 from milepost 8.6 to milepost 21 in El Dorado County.

California Highway Patrol Truckee (CHP) is reporting R2 chain controls are in place from Kingvale to the Nevada State Line for both East and Westbound lanes.

CHP Truckee says I80 is closed to all Eastbound truck traffic at Applegate and that that all trucks are being turned around at Gold Ranch on Westbound I80.

There are no chain controls on SR28.

SR20 is closed to all trucks.

SR88 is requiring R2 chain controls from Hams Station to Silver Lake as well as Kirkwood to Picketts Junction and Picketts Junction to Woodfords.

CHP says on SR267 there are R2 chain controls in effect from Northstar to Kings Beach due to multiple spin-outs.

CHP Truckee also says SR89 has R2 chain controls from Markleeville to Woodfords, as well as Picketts Junction to Bliss State Park and Bliss State Park to Tahoe City.

R1 Chain controls are in effect from Truckee to Sierraville.
