The California Highway Patrol will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in the South Lake Tahoe area Saturday.
The checkpoint is scheduled to start around 9 p.m. in the east area of El Dorado County and will conclude around 2 a.m. Sunday. During the checkpoint deputies will be conducting license checks and appropriate enforcement will be taken.
Deputies will also be handing out literature warning drivers of the dangers of drinking and driving.
