Finding the Ghost of William Goodburn Near Lockwood

With Halloween just hours away, many people will dress up and head to haunted houses. We know these things are not really haunted, but a place nearby is… well maybe.

In the 1930's, William Goodburn, also known as ‘Whiskey Bill' lived in a house in a canyon near Lockwood.

But is it haunted?

“On a scale of one to 10, it's an 11,” said Kelly Latham, a paranormal investigator with the group Boogie Men NV.

Bill's body rests at a grave site about 100 yards away from the home. Kelly Latham, Joe Stout, and Peter Wardlaw have had several encounters with ghosts at this site.

Wardlaw describes an encounter when he left a voice recorder outside overnight.

“There's a message that wasn't very nice,” said Wardlaw. “It was ‘Die Pete,' three times.”

The same message was also written in pebbles above the grave.

When we were there, not only did we hear the sound of metal banging against metal from the house below, but there was also Electronic Voice Phenomenon, or EVP, that said, ‘You are all not alone.”
