Former UNR Football Player Pleads Guilty For Soliciting Child For Prostitution

UPDATE, March 2021:

Officials say a former UNR football player accused of being involved in a child sex ring bust pleaded guilty.

He was a part of a bust that arrested 28 people in October 2020.

Christopher Green pleaded guilty to conspiracy to solicit a child for prostitution.

He was sentenced to a probation not to exceed 12 months, with a possibility of an early termination with good behavior.

Green is no longer in jail.

A University of Nevada (UNR) football player has been arrested for reportedly trying to solicit a child for prostitution.

21-year-old Chris Green was arrested by Reno Police early Friday morning. 

He also faces one charge for child abuse and neglect.

Both charges are felonies. 

Green was a senior defensive tackle for the Wolf Pack and played in every game last season. He was suspended from the football program early Friday afternoon.Â
