Businesses and organizations are starting to release lists of holiday events for area residents.

Officials with the Outlets at Legends in Sparks say they will have their annual tree lighting on November 30.
They said the festivities will begin at 6 p.m. and the first 250 kids will receive a special gift.
Santa is set to make an appearance at the tree lighting, followed by by a firework show.
The Lights of Kindness event is also happening on the same day, presented by the Nevada Diabetes Association through December 7, from 2:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each day.
Officials said that event will be next to Grimaldi's and is free to the public.

Officials with Harrah's and Harveys Lake Tahoe said two gingerbread displays will be available in the lobbies of both hotels at Stateline, Nevada.
They said executive pastry chef Guido Landolt chose an Emerald Bay theme, for the display at Harveys. It includes gingerbread renditions of Vikingsholm, the MS Dixie, surrounding mountains and of course the Bay itself.
Chef Landolt re-created a snowy alpine village scene for the display at Harrah's.
They will be on display through New Year's Day.

Officials with Harrah's and Harveys Lake Tahoe are also hosting the annual US Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots toy drive.
They said donations of new toys and books for children will be accepted now through December 15 in Harrah's and Harveys hotel lobbies, near the gingerbread displays.
Officials said donations may also be dropped-off with the valet parking staff at both properties.
