Our area blood bank is replenishing its stock of life-saving blood -- thanks to you, our viewers.
We held our 10th Annual 'Give 2 Live' Blood Drive inside the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa on Wednesday.
We’ve collected a total of 1,633 units of blood in the previous nine blood drives. And just today, we collected more than 279 units of blood!
Everyone had a different reason for donating their time – and blood.
Here are just a few that we heard:
"My father was a huge donor and I do it in his memory," says Nicole Frosini.
George Dickerson added, "In case I need and in case anyone else needs...and doing double...and doing double."
Mary Ellen Rathbone told us, "I was an RH baby, so I needed several transfusions as a baby."

United Blood Services says our summertime blood drive is crucial for this community. It's typically a slower time of year for them but the demand for blood remains high. And there is a shelf-life... so the need for donors is constant.
One pint of blood can save up to three lives!
