The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a Fernley toddler.Â
The 2-year-old boy died May 29 after he was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center.
Deputies have arrested the mother's boyfriend, 19-year-old Shiloh Weaver. He has been charged with child abuse causing substantial bodily harm.Â
An investigation is ongoing to determine if the toddler died from injuries sustained while in Weaver's care.Â
District Attorney Stephen Rye says a final decision on whether the charges will be changed to include homicide will be made next week.Â
Weaver has posted his $250,000 bail. Â (AP)
