Man Arrested After Standoff at Reno Apartment Complex

A man is behind bars after numerous shots were fired from an apartment complex on Sky Valley Drive early Sunday night. 

When officers arrived at the complex, they evacuated nearby apartments as a precaution. 

Reno Police say the suspect, 20-year-old Austin Huff was shooting through the door of his apartment with a rifle. Officers say over 20 shots were fired, but none by RPD. 

Officials say the Crisis Incident Negotiations Team talked to Huff through their loudspeaker.

Huff eventually surrendered and was booked into the Washoe County Jail on numerous gun-related felony charges.  

No injuries were reported in the incident.
