Authorities say they found a man’s body after searching several hours after his reported drowning at Pyramid Lake on Sunday evening.
A Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe spokesman says the 28-year-old victim and his wife were walking in knee deep water at North Nets beach near Sutcliffe around 6:45 p.m. when they fell off an underwater cliff that plunged about 10 feet below the surface of the water.
The spokesman says the couple did not know how to swim, but somehow the wife made it to shore safely.
Crews searched for the man for about three hours, eventually finding his body.
