Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC) confirmed that inmate Shair Sahadat Ali died September 20th at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City.
Officials say that Ali told staff that he wasn’t feeling well when officers then alerted medical and moved Ali to the Regional Medical Facility. Once they reached the facility, Ali lost consciousness. Medical staff arrived on the scene and immediately began life saving measures until EMTs arrived, and he was pronounced deceased.
Ali was 59-years-old and had been serving 48-120 months for Theft and was committed from Washoe County on February 21, 2014. The Clark County Coroner’s Office responded and an autopsy is being scheduled.
