Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed an Arizona driver Sunday on U.S. 93 in White Pine County north of Lages Junction.

Specifically, the crash occurred at mile marker 116, just before 4:15 p.m.

NHP says a preliminary investigation shows that a silver 2009 Ford F-150 pickup was heading south on U.S. 93 while a red 2009 Freightliner semi-truck was heading northbound - that's when the F-150 went into the opposite lane and hit the left front of the semi-truck.

At the same time, NHP says a gold 2010 Chevrolet Equinox was behind the semi-truck, also heading north, when it hit debris from the crash.

The F-150 driver, 31-year-old Daragh Cornelius Conneely of Phoenix died on scene. NHP says the driver was the only person inside the pickup.

The other two drivers were not hurt.

The crash is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command East Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (M.I.R.T.). If you have any information regarding the crash, contact Trooper Mitchell Payne at (775) 753-1111 or mpayne@dps.state.nv.us
