Independence Day celebrations are happening all across northern Nevada and nearby California towns - not just on the fourth, but throughout the entire holiday weekend.

As a reminder, fireworks are illegal in Washoe County and the Lake Tahoe Basin. The only exception is Pyramid Lake, where fireworks are allowed only in designated areas with a valid permit.

Whether you’re planning to watch fireworks, enjoy a small-town parade or head to the lake, here’s a running list of Independence Day events happening July 2–5 in Reno, Sparks, Tahoe and the surrounding areas.
