A mountain biker had to be rescued after getting separated from their party northwest of Kirkwood on Saturday night. 

The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office says its Echo 1 crew found the person in the forest around nighttime. 

After landing on rock, rescuers picked up the mountain biker and transported them back to Strawberry Creek Trail where they reunited with their party.Â
