Slick, icy roads are bringing chain controls and closures to many roads in and around the Sierra.
Closures include westbound traffic on I-80 at the California state line, as well as a stretch of State Route 88 and multiple stretches of State Route 89 in California, and part of State Route 267.
Chain controls are up on portions of I-80, Mount Rose Highway, and U.S. 50.
There are also chain controls in place on I-580 through Washoe Valley and Carson City, as well as on Kingsbury Grade and Geiger Grade Road.
State Routes 88, 89, and 267 also have chain controls up.
