The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that happened along Sun Valley Boulevard early Saturday morning.

According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the area on reports of shots fired just before 4 a.m.  

Deputies say they found a man with apparent gunshot wounds when they got to the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time. 

Detectives are actively investigating the shooting. The Sheriff's Office says there is no immediate threat to the public at this time.
