July 17, 4:22 p.m. Update

Just before 3 p.m. Friday, North Lyon Fire was dispatched to a single-vehicle rolloveron US 95A near the Reno Fernley Raceway.

North Lyon firefighters arrived to find Lyon County Sheriff’s Office personnel on scene attempting life-saving measures.

Despite the combined efforts of first responders, the driver declared dead at the scene. There were no passengers. 

Nevada State Police are now investigating

Travel in the area is delayed while emergency responders work in the area.
