Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue quickly put out a fire in Spanish Springs on Monday, and they say the incident is a reminder that burning is closed in their jurisdiction.
Burning is closed in the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District.
In a post to their X page, TMFR said the first started in a yard where someone was burning weeds.
The resident of the home thought they had fully put out the fire, but a few hours later their fence had burst into flame and the fire was threatening nearby structures.
