Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) opened applications for its annual scholarship program.
The program will award 37 $2,000 scholarships to individuals pursuing an undergraduate, technical or trade school program. An additional $1,000 scholarship will be awarded by GNCU's Scholarship Committee, for a total of $75,000 in funds in honor of their 75th anniversary.
32 of the $2,000 awards will be available to applicants who are 24 years old or younger at the time of the application deadline, and who are a GNCU member, or the child, spouse, or parent of a GNCU member.
Five of the scholarships will be available to applicants who are 25 years old or older at the time of the application deadline, and who are GNCU members with a valid savings account number.
Winners will be selected based on financial need, academic performance, community involvement and educational goals.
Funds will be awarded for the 2024-2025 school year and can be used for tuition, registration, special classes, laboratory fees, room and board, textbooks, and class materials.
The application must be completed by 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 29. You can submit it online, by mail, or deliver it in person to a GNCU branch.
