Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue has two sites open for people to dispose of green waste on April 13 and 14.
- Washoe Valley:
Nevada Division of Forestry Fire Station at 885 Eastlake Blvd.
- Lemmon Valley:
Lemmon Valley Station at 130 Nectar Street in Reno
They are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days and the event is completely free.
"Washoe County residents are encouraged to dispose of their dry and dead vegetation, shrubs, tree branches, and other wildland fuels to encourage the creation of defensible space to protect homes and property from wildfires." - TMFR
