Ten Reno Works program students have made their next step toward the workforce after graduating at Reno City Hall on Monday morning.
The Reno Works program is a 12-week course for homeless community members.
It gives folks a path out of homelessness by offering students opportunities for work and education.
One of the graduates said he struggled to find employment before his Reno Cares Campus case manager helped get him into the program.
“She really stayed with me and worked with me. I tried to find employment for a year, didn't happen and then through this program she was able to get me in and then to be here now is just, it's a true blessing," says Chris Dambrosio.
Monday's graduates join 137-others that have finished the program since it was founded in 2015.
