Reno Stead Airport

Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority

The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority is inviting the community to learn more about the future of the Reno-Stead Airport at an open house next Tuesday.

The RTAA, which is the owner of the Stead airport, is undergoing a comprehensive airport master planning process to help determine the airport’s future. As part of the process, it plans to host its first public open house on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the Reno-Stead Airport Terminal located at 4895 Texas Avenue.

Doors will open at 5:30 and the presentation begins at 6 p.m.

RTAA says the public will hear about the master plan process, what has been completed and what comes next. That information will be used to develop potential plans for the airport over the next two decades.

Community members are also invited to provide written feedback on the airport master plan either in person at the event or online via the Provide Input page

After the open house, a recording of the presentation will be posted on the project website. Project materials are available online at rtsmasterplan.com
