The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public input on a proposal from County Line Minerals Corp., a U.S.-based gold producer, to develop the County Line gold and silver mine on approximately 452 acres of public land near Gabbs in Nye and Mineral counties.
The proposal includes expanding two existing open pit mines and a waste rock storage facility; constructing two new in-pit waste rock storage areas; establishing low- and high-grade ore stockpiles and growth media stockpiles; and building an access road, stormwater management features, and crushing and ancillary infrastructure.
In accordance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the BLM is also requesting information about any known historic properties located within or near the project area.
Public comments may be submitted online through the “Participate Now” option at BLM’s ePlanning website, which is the preferred method.
Comments can also be mailed to the BLM Carson City District Office at 5665 Morgan Mill Road, Carson City, NV 89701, or faxed to 775-885-6147.
The public comment period closes on May 27, 2025.
