Parents seeking a safe, engaging, and budget-friendly way to keep their children active this summer can turn to the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows (BGCTM).
Running from June 9 through August 8, the Club’s 2025 Summer Program includes a structured Summer Day Camp and a range of Specialty Camps, designed to combine fun with learning.
The Summer Day Camp, available for kids ages 6–12, offers a packed schedule of arts and crafts, STEM projects, sports, games, and weekly themes. Teens ages 13–18 can attend for free.
The Boys and Girls Club says campers receive breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack daily, helping them stay energized throughout the daily adventures.
“For many parents, summer can be a challenge when it comes to keeping kids engaged in a positive environment,” said Tina Drudi, BGCTM's VP of Program Operations. “We’re proud to offer a program that is not only fun and educational but also budget-friendly and convenient for working families.”
The program is highly accessible, with a $20 annual Club membership and a $50 weekly fee per child, plus available sibling and military discounts, and financial assistance for those who qualify.
All activities are hosted at various Reno youth sites.
For kids with specific interests, Specialty Camps offer hands-on experiences in science, sports, cooking, arts, and outdoor adventure.
These smaller group camps include programs like Rocket Science Camp and Junior Chefs, giving children the chance to learn new skills in a fun and dynamic setting while still enjoying the perks of the Day Camp.
Open to the public, registration requires an active Club membership. For details and sign-ups, visit BGCTM.org or call (775) 331-KIDS (5437).
