The office is trading desks for the playing field this fall as Corporate Challenge 2026 returns to Reno, bringing weeks of games, teamwork, and friendly rivalry for businesses across the city.
Teams from local companies can compete in 12 events spread over four weeks, from September 9 through October 4, at City of Reno facilities and new offsite locations.
Events range from athletic contests like softball, basketball, swimming, and a 5K to casual games like bowling, darts, and Pictionary. Organizers are also introducing four new events this year.
The challenge is designed to bring coworkers together, whether employees are experienced athletes or just looking to try something new. Companies are divided into three divisions based on size to keep competition balanced, and smaller businesses often combine to form a single team.
Alongside the competitions, participants can enjoy food, drinks, music, and new food trucks at events. Registration is open now through August 3, with fees covering entry for all events. Organizers say the focus remains on boosting team spirit, camaraderie, and pride in each company.
