A community-focused town hall was hosted at the Reno Public Market on Wednesday night.

Community members gathered to speak about affordability issues in Reno.

Topics included the rising prices of rent, groceries, and electricity.

Nevada Democratic congressional candidate Greg Kidd put on the event.

"We've been living in kind of an unreality zone where whatever's happening and new in the newspaper each day, is distracting people from the everyday pain and situation at hand," said Kidd.  "Tonight, we're gonna take that back, we're gonna talk about what everyone is feeling in the pocketbook and really is causing people a lot of stress."

Kidd is running for Congress in Nevada's second congressional district against Republican incumbent Congressman Mark Amodei.
