UPDATE - MAY 27: 

Construction on the Arlington Avenue Bridges Project remains on schedule for completion in early June.

According to Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County (RTC), in an online post, crews are wrapping up final improvements throughout the corridor, including intersection work at Arlington Avenue and Island Avenue, new signage, concrete and lighting installation, and tree and landscaping enhancements.

RTC of Washoe County thanked the community for its patience as work continues on the project in downtown Reno.

ORIGINAL STORY - MAY 4: 

First Street in downtown Reno is reopening to cars as crews start to wrap up the Arlington Avenue Bridges Project.

RTC of Washoe County says once First Street is opened, Arlington Avenue will stay closed at the intersection.

Traffic signals will be flashing red in a three-way stop.

They ask drivers to be cautious in the area.

Crews are still working to finish elements of the south bridge.
