The Reno Fire Department was called to the scene at 36 Stewart Street near S. Virginia Street this afternoon for a report of smoke coming from the attic of a commercial building.
According to a battalion chief with the Reno Fire Department, there was an external fire on the first floor of the 1,500 square foot building that appeared to extend into the building's attic space.
Several RFD engines and ladder trucks responded to the fire, in addition to personnel from NV Energy. Officials say the fire was knocked down shortly after 7:00 p.m.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the fire, and no one has been displaced.
