Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo signed a bill into law on Wednesday, designating an International Holocaust Remembrance Day in the state of Nevada.
The day falls on January 27.
The signing comes as people around the world are commemorating the Holocaust with ceremonies and events.
On social media, the governor said Nevada will never forget the tragic events of the Holocaust.
This year marks eight decades since the end of the Holocaust, when Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany murdered six million European Jews.
