Lyon County deputies are investigating a suspected hit-&-run crash that killed a man Thursday afternoon.

Deputies say the crash happened on Dayton Valley Road near Sutro and Rancho Roads around 4 p.m. on Thursday. 

They say the victim, a man was transported to Carson Tahoe Hospital for initial treatment but then was later airlifted to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno where he later died.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, with help from Nevada State Police, are now investigating the scene where the incident happened. 

The man's name hasn't been released.
