A jury has convicted a man after an incident inside a Reno home that left a woman injured.
52-year-old Santos Rendon-Laureanos was found guilty of domestic battery, third offense, following a jury trial, according to the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office.
Reno Police officers were called to a home on Riesling Loop in May 2025 after Rendon-Laureanos entered the home and began hitting the woman.
The woman, a 50-year-old, had previously dated Rendon-Laureanos. They separated in February. She and her three sons later moved in with her daughter at the home.
According to prosecutors, Rendon-Laureanos went into the home and went directly to the woman’s bedroom, where she was lying in bed. He tried to take her phone and hit her in the face, causing injuries. He then left the home and drove away in a car.
Sentencing for Santos Rendon-Laurenanos is scheduled for January 27 before Judge Barry Breslow.Â
Rendon-Laureanos faces up to six years in the Nevada Department of Corrections and a fine of up to $5,000.
