Carson City deputies have arrested a man they say shot at a neighbor's home several times during an ongoing dispute. Â
Deputies say the neighbor reported hearing gunshots for the past week, early in the morning. A few hours later, they say a family member found several bullet holes on the side of the home and workshop shed.
Deputies say the neighbor was having ongoing problems with Thomas Wood and even has an active extended protective order against him.
During a search, officers say they found spent bullet casings on the ground below Wood’s window which faces the victim’s home, in addition to the window’s screen having been removed.
Authorities say Wood told a deputy that he didn't mean for anyone to get hurt, and that a subsequent search yielded several more spent rounds inside the home.Â
Wood is charged with 2 counts of Assault with a deadly weapon, 28 counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, unlawful discharge of a firearm, destruction of property, and 2 counts of violating an extended protection order.
