Nevada State Police have shared additional information about the crash that shut down U.S. 50 ALT in Fernley on Monday morning.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash, and two people were immediately transported to the hospital with injuries.
One person later succumbed to their injuries, making the crash fatal.

The Nevada State Police says that U.S. 50 ALT at 6th Street is open in both directions.
The westbound lanes are open, and the eastbound traffic is being directed through the center lanes.

The westbound lane of traffic has been cleared, but crews are still clearing up the eastbound, via the cameras on NDOT's website.

A small crash is affecting all lanes of traffic on U.S. Hwy 50 ALT in Fernley, near 6th Street, in both directions.
According to NDOT, all lanes are currently closed, and motorists are advised to find alternate routes.
