UPDATE - NOVEMBER 5, 2025:

A Reno man already serving a 247-year-to-life prison sentence for child sexual assault has now been convicted of abusing three additional victims.

The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office announced that Jaime Oseguera was found guilty following a separate trial of one count of Sexual Assault on a Child Under 16, nine counts of Lewdness with a Child Under 14, one count of Indecent Exposure, and three counts of Open & Gross Lewdness.

While Oseguera's initial case was underway, investigators with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office learned that he had also sexually abused three other victims, all of whom were known to him. Prosecutors say two of the victims were children at the time of the abuse, and the third was an adult.

Sentencing in the new case is set for November 22 before Judge Lynne Jones. Oseguera-Vega faces up to 115 additional years in prison for the new convictions.

He was previously sentenced to life with parole eligibility after 247 years for repeatedly sexually assaulting a young girl over a decade, beginning when she was six years old.

Prosecutors say he repeatedly sexually assaulted her over the next decade and threatened to kill her if she ever told anyone about the abuse.

The victim eventually left Nevada and told law enforcement.

At sentencing, prosecutors asked for Oseguera-Vega's sentences run consecutively, equaling the 247-years-to-life sentence.
