The Reno Aces are looking ahead at an exciting season after spending years making upgrades to Greater Nevada Field.

Just when you thought the new field and seats couldn't get any better, this season, fans will have even more to look forward to.

"This year they're going to see new concession stands with new concession menus, new party areas, and an entirely renovated outfield experience that is just going to be a really cool spot to hang out and enjoy the games all summer long," said Reno Aces President Eric Edelstein.

When renovations first started three years ago, Edelstein says they expected this project to cost around $6 million, but now that they're nearly done it'll be closer to $8 million.

The Reno Aces will still be continuing special deals every day, including Taco Tuesdays, $10 ticket Wednesdays, 2 News Nevada's proud partnership with Throwback Thursdays, and Family Sundays.

Besides the new food menus and kids' zone, fans can also expect to see the new Home Bar located by the outfield seating area.

"As you go out to the outfield experience, you're going to see ski lift chairs, Adirondak chairs, a brand-new kids' zone, won't be ready opening day more like May," Edelstein adds.

They also upgraded sound, video, and lighting around the stadium.

"We've added 200 feet of LED ribbon across the two fronts first base and third base side of the suite level, so you'll now have a 360-degree video experience when you're at the games," said Edelstein.

And of course, new team merchandise.

"No offense to any of the brands out there but I'd like to say that we were a little more like a TJ Maxx and now we're a little more like a Nordstrom in there right now. Still, something for everybody in there but it's refreshed, it's great, the variety of merchandise is outstanding, second to none in minor league baseball," said Edelstein.
