The Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission is hosting their 16th annual Walk a Mile fundraiser event this weekend.

The walk starts at the Wingfield Amphitheatre in Reno, and ends exactly one mile away at the Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission at 355 Record Street.

The event begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. - organizers encourage people to come early to get checked in and participate in giveaways.

Everyone is invited—including your pets—to come together with local businesses and organizations to raise awareness for homelessness, poverty and addiction in Reno.

Entry fees are $30 for individuals and $25 per person for groups of four or more. 

Awards will be given for the top three largest group entries and the top three non-profit group entries, and there will be a 50/50 raffle as well.

All proceeds raised will benefit the homeless and hungry here in northern Nevada.
