Sparks Police have released details of an incident Friday night where they say a man tried to lure a child into his car.

Around 8:00 p.m. Friday night, officers were called out to Kiley Parkway for a report of a suspicious circumstance.

After an investigation, it was found that a suspect, identified as 25-year-old Caleb Tau-Tolliver, had allegedly attempted to lure an 8-year old boy into his car by promising to give him money for snacks.

The boy's mom inserted herself into the situation once she found her son at Tau-Tolliver's car and safely removed her child.

At around 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning, Tau-Tolliver was arrested by the Sparks Police Department and booked into the Washoe County Detention Center on one charge of luring or attempting to lure a child or mentally ill person.
