A 43-year-old man faces several gun and drug-related charges after being arrested in Virginia City Highlands on Tuesday.

Storey County deputies say they served a search warrant at the home after they got information about possible illegal drug sales.

During the search, deputies say they found a large amount of ecstasy pills, marijuana, THC concentrate, magic mushrooms, cash and two guns.

Deputies say the suspect, Jason Scott also had an active felony warrant issued by the Reno Township Justice Court for charges relating to possession of illegal drugs and guns by a convicted person and a DUI.

They say Scott also had not registered as a felon in Storey County, despite living there as a resident.

Scott was transported to the Storey County Detention Facility, where he was booked on the following charges with a total bail of $285,640.00:

* Arrest on other agency warrant

* Convicted person failure to register with local law enforcement within 48 hours

* Own or possess firearm by prohibited person x 2 counts

* Possess schedule I or II controlled substance, less than 14g (ecstasy pills)

* Possess marijuana more than 1oz less than 50lbs (marijuana bud)

* Possess to sell schedule I or II substance (marijuana bud)

* Traffic schedule 1 or II controlled substance 400+ g x 2 counts (THC concentrate and psylocibin)
